Are you a passionate and caring Registered Veterinary Nurse looking for a new opportunity in a thriving practice? Shield Veterinary Centre is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join them on a full time, 12-month fixed term contract, at their Bishops Waltham branch. This is to cover maternity and working 39 hours per week.

Who we are looking for

The ideal candidate for this position will be a Registered Veterinary Nurse with excellent all-round nursing skills and a strong passion for animal care. As an enthusiastic and pro-active team member, you’ll seamlessly integrate into our team, supporting your colleagues and fostering a collaborative environment. Strong organisational and communication skills are essential, enabling you to manage tasks efficiently while effectively interacting with both the team and clients. The rota

Our nurses work 4 and a half day weeks with a fixed half day off a week. We run daily nurse consults and utilise nurses to their maximum ability.

About the Team and Culture

We are a well-established small animal practice spread across 2 branches. We have vets and nurses from new graduate level to 30+years qualified, a lot who have worked for Shield Vets for over 15 years. We consider the whole team one big family and we look after and support each other. We are well equipped with ultrasound, digital radiography, digital dental radiography and Idexx laboratory machines (Catalyst and Procyte) and we have two consulting rooms at each site as well as dedicated theatres.
